About Us
May 1st
The Lucas County Young Democrats is the official youth arm of the Democratic Party in Lucas County. The LCYD mobilizes young progressives, ages 18-35 to participate in the electoral process, influence the ideals of the Party and develop the skills of the next generation of leaders at the local and national level.
Our group has a variety of activities for any level of political interest. We run trainings for activists and candidates, we provide volunteers to local campaigns, we throw fundraisers, and we do outreach and recruitment at local festivals and events.
We also have members who run local campaigns, act as the principal local organizer for the presidential campaigns, and some of us even run (and win) for local office.
Along with all the more overtly political activities, we also like to relax and have a good time with other democrats. We meet at Democratic Headquarters, 1817 Madison Avenue in downtown Toledo, the first Thursday of every month. Hope you’ll join us at our next meeting!
